Photographed in Breivikeidet outside Tromsø in early autumn, REIN // is a continuation and quiet shift from the original REIN series. The landscape is no longer frozen. Snow is gone. What remains is movement against earth, wind, and fading light.
Presented in black and white, the series steps away from season and color to focus on form, rhythm, and presence. The reindeer move through open terrain and low vegetation, their bodies dissolving into lines, shadows, and blurred gestures. Motion becomes the subject as much as the animals themselves.
Rather than documenting wildlife, REIN // explores transition — between seasons, states, and moments. Autumn brings softness, restlessness, and a different tempo. The images hover between clarity and abstraction, where tradition is felt rather than shown, and the herd becomes a living pattern within the northern landscape
